11. Rainbow Text for Instagram Stories
Instagram Stories have gotten a lot of cool and useful features over the past few years, and one of them is rainbow text on stories.
It’s a lot more fun than looking at plain text in a different color, because each color appears in a different state.
To do this, start by taking a photo on Instagram and writing the text you want, then tap and select the text you just added to your story.
When you do that, you hold a finger on one of the colors until a gradient pops up.
Then hold the other end of the cursor at the same time and move both your fingers towards the opposite side until the text is filled with rainbow gradient colors as shown below.
It’s a little tricky to get, but it looks great when you get it right. You can change your Instagram name if you want to refresh yourself.
12. Manage Multiple Accounts on Instagram
Instagram also makes it easy to manage multiple accounts, which is important for those who use multiple personal accounts for different jobs.
To add an account, tap your Instagram name or name in the top left of your profile tab. Then tap the Add Account button, which is where you’ll switch between multiple accounts.

14. Enable Post Notifications for Specific Users
A handy feature if you don’t want to miss posts from specific users. When you enable post notifications for specific users, you will get a notification every time they post.
To do this, go to the user profile and tap the three-dot menu, select the Notifications option on ‘Turn On Post Notification’ and you’re done.

15. Remove yourself from photos
Social media has many ways of embarrassing us, friends tag you in embarrassing photos that you don’t want anyone else to see.
Blocking it is harder than you think, first open your profile page and tap the Your photos button.

Next, tap on the photo you want to remove and tap again to reveal your username. Tap on the username and then you will have the option to remove yourself.
Here, all you need to do is select ‘Remove Tag’ and you will be untagged from the photo.

16. Use the Restrict feature
Taking advantage of the Restrict feature is a tip for maintaining your mental health. This feature is to limit bullying and harassment by people you are not close to.
When this feature is enabled, they can comment on posts, message you, tag you, but not in your notification log. You won’t be notified of their activity and it will be hidden from your timeline…basically everywhere on Instagram.

To use this feature, just open the profile you want to restrict and tap the three-dot menu in the upper right corner. Tap Restrict and you’re done.
17. Share Instagram Stories to Facebook
You can share posts from Instagram to Facebook by linking your account, but recently Instagram has also let you share its stories as Facebook Stories.
To set it up, swipe right and go to Stories, tap the gear icon in the upper left corner. Scroll down and turn on the toggle for Share Stories to Facebook.

18. Unfollow Groups
This feature is for groups that have low engagement, you can remove users that you haven’t followed back.
To use it, go to your Profile settings, tap Following and you will see Least. Switch to the Followers tab and you will see the accounts you are not following back.

19. Custom status for close friends
It is similar to WhatsApp About feature, you mention what you are doing like working, eating, watching games… This status shows up in your profile icon in Direct Messages.
However, you need to install Instagram Threads and your followers do not need to install this app to see your status.

20. Share stories as posts
Open Archive copy and select your story, tap the three dot menu in the top right corner and select Share on Facebook as Post. That is how you share your story as a post.

This feature has finally appeared on Instagram, previously it was limited to some countries.
